Under the Wrekin: Acoustic Blues is a brand‑new one‑day acoustic blues festival taking place on 5th September 2026 at Bowring Park, Wellington. Created by the Groundhog Blues Club in memory of blues legend Tony McPhee, the festival brings together some of the UK’s finest acoustic blues artists for a full day of live music in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Set beneath the iconic Wrekin hill, the event features eight live performances, a large marquee with professional staging and sound, locally brewed ales from Rowton Brewery, great food, and extended café opening hours. A welcoming, family‑friendly celebration of acoustic blues in the heart of Shropshire.
